Sharx Security SCXSC200 4 Channel PCI Digital Video Recorder DVR and Remote Internet Access Card with Windows Driver and Software
Sharx Security SCXSC200 4 Channel PCI Digital Video Recorder DVR and Remote Internet Access Card with Windows Driver and Software
The Sharx Security SCXSC200 card is a new generation 4 channel audio / video capture card for desktop PCs. The included SecurityCenter software allows viewing and recording of up to 4 security cameras on your computer, with or without motion detection. The included SecurityPlayer software allows remote internet access. Unlike SCXMC104 this Techwell 6805 based card also captures one channel of audio and comes with Microsoft WHQL certified Windows drivers which allow use with third party DVR software such as BlueIris and LuxRiot, as well as Media Players and Encoders like the open source VLC or Microsoft’s free Windows Media Encoder. Video quality is excellent on this card. A single channel can be captured at near DVD quality with D1 resolution (720 x 480) and a full 30 frames per second. When 4 channels are in use the frame rate drops due to the switching between channels. If you need 4 channels at full 30 fps each, consider our SCXSC300 card which supports 16 switched or 4 full motion video inputs. If you do not have a free PCI slot in your desktop computer consider our SCXSC104LUSB 4 channel USB 2.0 DVR system. If needed, RCA/BNC adapters or video cables are available separately and not included. Card ships in OEM white box with manual on CD. Note: Now supported on all versions of XP and Vista including both 32 bit and 64 bit.

The Gun of Surveillance…

The Gun of Surveillance...
…is also pointing at you

Found/seen this readymade symbol on a granite wall under a railroad bridge in the old part of Oslo. The small shadow of the mounted vidcam is the trigger in the lightform of the gun…it enlightened me in a flash …written in light on a stone granite wall

Hacking computers available to everyone: I read an article today about the danger and the ease of available web based software that can implement Trojan horses everywhere and anybody can do this; the article says: One click more and we see an connected page that shows the danger: A gun is pointed at you..!. Wow, I thought, one more instance of the gun of surveillance at work.

Bluecherry BC-H16480A-16 port video, 16 port audio H.264 / PCIe hardware compression capture card
Please note: This card does not include our surveillance software. It is intended for software development using our (free) Video4Linux2 driver.

Hardware compression H.264 capture card 16 port video inputs, 1 port video output 16 port audio inputs, 1 port audio output 480FPS recording @ 352×240, 150FPS @ 704×480 New! PCIe design.

The Bluecherry BC-H16480A is true hardware compression card supported by our Video4Linux(2) driver. Recently, tests with this driver have shown significant CPU/memory saving over standard software compression cards. This card has several features not commonly found on traditional Linux supported MPEG-4 encoders, including: Each port has a MJPEG and H.264 encoder, each can be opened separately. Each device shows up as a Video4Linux(2) device and you have access to each encoder using standard Video4Linux APIs. Each port is loaded up as an ALSA sound device, allowing for encoding G.723 audio from each audio input. The driver exposes the video output as a ‘display’ device, allowing you to control the video output (specify which inputs are displayed on the composite output) Our driver is available in the latest kernel releases, in the ‘staging’ directory.

Note: This device has the following features, which are not currently supported in the driver: Hardware (on-card) motion detection. Hardware motion detection is currently only supported in our software.
